What is it? New in 2026, we are offering Silent Day Retreats (Saturday only). Step away from the busyness of daily life to be renewed in your spiritual life. The prophet Isaiah exhorts us to hear the Lord saying: “Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live (Is 55:3).” These days are an opportunity to incline the ears of your heart to hear the One who is Life - and who speaks in the silence!
Drawing from the liturgy and teachings of the Catholic Church, the retreats at Villa Maria Guadalupe Retreat Center are centered on the Eucharist. The day will include Mass, a morning and afternoon talk by Sisters, lunch, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Liturgy of the Hours (communal prayer), and ample space and silence to enter within your heart and encounter God. (The retreat will end in time for you to go to confession at any of our local parishes!)
Who is this Silent Day Retreat for? This Silent Day Retreat is offered for any men and women ages 18 and over.
What food is provided? This Silent Day Retreat includes lunch prayerfully and lovingly prepared by the Sisters. However, we can only accommodate Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free diets. If you have particular dietary needs beyond this, please feel free to bring supplemental food for your use. A refrigerator and microwave are available for your use, if necessary. (NOTE: We are not a nut-free facility.)
Policy on children: We are not able to accommodate anyone under 18 years old, including babies in arms, in order to uphold the silent nature of this one-day retreat.
Cost: There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee for this Silent Day Retreat.
